Hello, I’m Amber.

I’m currently freelancing in a variety of storytelling opportunities. I have worked with The Nature Conservancy, USA Today Network, The Trust for Public Land, and the College Photographer of the Year competition, to name a few.

I’ve been a photographer, a photo editor, an intern, a manager, a social media specialist, a small business owner, a page designer, a videographer, a sound tech, a studio assistant, a copy editor, and quite a few more.

I have my master's in visual editing from the Missouri School of Journalism, where I also received my undergraduate degree in photojournalism. I’m a Kappa Tau Alpha member, and I’ve received honors from NPPA for my photo editing.

I like nice light, laughing loudly, meeting new people and doing the best job I possibly can. My other interests include hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking. I am a cat person (but dogs are cool, too), a francophone, an ENFJ, and I’m pro-Oxford comma. I’ve moved 20 times in my quarter-of-a-century on earth, and I’ve never known a stranger.
